What are these black/unmarked military helicopters?

3 completely black and unmarked MH-47E Chinook helicopters flew over my home this evening.

2 at once, and then one more about 20 minutes later. All black, unmarked.

What are they/what are they for? And why are they unmarked?

Edwards Airforce Base was in the opposite direction that they flew from and i dont know of any other bases around where I live (SoCal)

    Thanks

edit: I found some info on these, they seem to be special operations aircraft - but what were they doing in Southern Cali?

Was it very dark outside when you sighted the MH-47Es?

I'd expect they were doing some operation. Some special one.

Hopefully the fed paid attention to the letter I sent them and the helicopters are there to drop cash over California. (I hope I remembered mentioned they should use notes and not coins and sspecially not sacks of coins.)

military helicopters can fly hundreds of miles . There is no point in trying to find out where they come from .

They go places that they have orders to go to . Maybe they was mapping out the area . Maybe they was just out for a nice ride..

Military helicopters havenít been marked with numbers in years. They have been black for years. They are harder for the enemy to see at night when they are black.

They go different places. Different training missions. Delivering various officials to various official functions, dinners, meetings, etc.

Donít worry about them. They are ours.

Humanrevolution: SoCal is lousy with military bases. There's Ft. Irwin, the Army's desert warfare training center, MCAS Twenty-nine Palms, Camp Roberts, Camp Pendleton, and on and on. Do a quick google for " California military installations."

Have you done something you haven't told us about? Have you been talking with ETs? Doing time travel experiments in the garage? Building a robot that looks like California's governor?

With sufficient thrust, water towers fly just fine.

I'm still waiting for the third Conan movie where he sits with furrowed brow on the throne of California.

The helicopters are marked with paint visible in the ultraviolet only. Did you see swarms of bees following the choppers? This could have implications for the so-called 'bee die-off'.

Yes. I would advise the OP to get some binoculars or something and try to identify the pilot. Does he look like this?

The co-pilot may look the guy in my avatar.

And be careful, a rather big guy with an Austrian accent and lots of firepower may be around to pick the drops.

The Register keeps track of all the Black Helicopter images captured by Google Earth if you like that kind of thing.

There are military helicopters based in many places in Southern California. Many are at Edwards, some at China Lake, NAS Lemoore, NAS Miramar, etc.

They are nothing to worry about.

A man with some resemblance to that photo was recently questioned by civil aviation authorities over an incident involving a helicopter underground. His co-pilot resembled this man:

Apparently they were trying to drop bottles filled with pound notes from a helicopter in a mine.

Probably Task Force 160th. US Army special operations on training out in the CA desert/mountains. This noise you hear is the sound of freedom. Be very glad they are our guys.

Like the color "none," which is what spec-ops birds prefer to travel under.

That makes pretty much anything look black.

One of the local TV stations around here has a black helicopter. I suspect they picked that color because it looks cool. Their only secret missions are traffic reports and house fires.
