Yet another tornado outbreak, for tomorrow
Sunny and about 10 C out with a cool breeze, warmer than yesterday, just trying to get some reading done outdoors.

Party cloudy and a breezy 65F today. A Good rain expected tomorrow and I'm tempted to put a few tomato plants in the ground, but now they predict 38F by Tuesday morning.
Rain to the south—no tornadoes near by.
A bit chilly about 6 or 7 C, mostly clear skies, spending most of the rest of the day outdoors.

A gentle rain arrived this afternoon just as I was finishing up on planting the squash seed and sweet potato slips. A pleasant Spring here so far, hopefully the last frost is in the rear view window.
We’re getting to the warm weather days now (90F today), though the nights are cool (mid 50s, typically) and low humidity. We are near the end of the rainy season. Unfortunately, this was a pretty dry one. For the first time on record, February was dry, though we did have some decent rain in March. We might get a bit more, but it tends to be uncommon as we hit May, and extremely rare in June.

Hot and humid today but expecting heavy showers and thunderstrom tonight and tomorrow in Paphos
Added to above, this is probably the time of year I like best. No heating and no air conditioner running, I have windows open well into the night bringing in nice air, I can hear the birds and other critters. I have changed my sleep hours and have been doing some yard work in the morning, enough of it quietly allowing me to hear the birds and squirrels chittering.

Tornado missed us by 3 miles, nyah nyah, but then there are the ones behind it...

When we lived in Lincoln, NE I always hated when the weather turned horrible and the TV started running tornado warning alerts. Closest I got to a tornado was a large well developed funnel cloud some distance away that I and my family watched from the porch. Luckily it never reached the ground. We had a basement and were ready to head down if it or something else came our way.
My aunt had close calls with a couple of them, with some exterior damage from a close pass to her house once, but she was always much more concerned about earthquakes. When she called she would always ask when there had been some earthquake that had made the news that caused a few rattles and maybe knocked over a few shelves somewhere in California.
It was almost nostalgic when we got a tornado warning alert once here in California. They are very rare here and almost never go above class 1 (I think there have been a couple class 2s in a century). So not all that dangerous.

Roger E Moore sounds like a close call. It was sunny and warm now cooling off and getting cloudy, some rain and snow over the next couple of days, should get the plants out of the cold frame soon and back indoors.

70°F by 5:00 AM and 103°F by 3:00 PM.
Ugh, too warm for me, that’s more like July weather here. It is getting up there some days - today the forecast is that it will get up to 96F, but it has been in the 70s max some days, and in the mid 80s on most. Thanks to the natural air conditioning of the Delta breeze it is cool in the morning and night, typically in the mid to high 50s, but on a cloudy day a week or so past it dropped into the 40s. A couple nights ago it was cool enough the heat came on a little, and it will likely be some time before I need to run air conditioning. I’ve been very comfortable working outside in the morning and late afternoon.
It is usually July and August when we start getting a significant number of days over 100, and typically when there are a couple of weeks when the Delta breeze cuts off so no real relief at night.
