The Big Bang Theory on CBS

The Big Bang Theory on CBS

    New show, Fall, 2007.

Meet two brainiacs with a lot to learn. Leonard and Sheldon can tell their quarks from their quantum physics, but have no clue how women add up. Leave it to their pretty new neighbor, just off a messy breakup, to teach them a thing or two in THE BIG BANG THEORY.
I just saw a promo and I wouldn't have paid any attention except in the background was that happening music from Peter, Bjorn and John, "Young Folks". (Hey, if I've heard a song in three totally different environments, it's happening.)

and we don't care about the young folks
    talkin' bout the young style
and we don't care about the old folks
talkin' 'bout the old style too
and we don't care about our own folks
    talkin' 'bout our own stuff
all we care about is talking
    talking only me and you
    Everyone whistle...

Sounds like more must-see TV. No, wait... that's NBC.

A perfect show for my Science and the Media class. Perhaps I'll make it required viewing.

But science seems to have nothing to do with it from that blurb; it's just another portrayal of a stereotype of scientists... not what they do on the job, but what's wrong with them in everything else.

Sounds like they are trying very hard to pull in some visuals from various young markets.
Play the scientific angle for the young educated crowd.
Set the name for the crowd that can only pick out the second word in the title.

And; judging from the commercial, nobody is intelligent. They are all either nerds, or idiots.
The girl is a vegetarian who loves to eat steak?

What really frosted me though, was I had to sit through a 30 second commercial before I could see the commercial.

More like the "Big Dud Theory". I give it three episodes till it gets canceled.

What are you out of your mind. This is one of the top new shows of the coming season. It comes from Chuck Lorre of Two and Half Men fame, who is a top award winning sitcom producer. The reviews have been terrific. See one review here from information :

you underestimate the American public- after all, "How I Met Your Mother" and "Two and a Half Men" are still on the air..
personally, i anxiously await the weekly Geico infomercials- um, i mean 'Cavemen"- on ABC..
