    Quick question that's driving me nuts!

    Hi all.

    OK; there's a type of drawing that has a regular, pattern of figures; where the spaces between each figure form the shape of the same figure in reverse. I've seen examples with goldfish, leaves and an apparently well-known one with football players.

    Does anyone have a clue what these kinds of drawings are called? It's driving me bats!

    I usually see these things referred to as Escher patterns, after MC Escher, since he had many popular works of this form including:
