    Protection Island

    I mentioned the island in the non-trivial stuff thread because of a wildfire. Here's an article about it and its creation; and its one resident Marty Bluewater. Whom I've yet to meet, though I'd love to.
    Lorna Smith, mentioned in the article, lives across the street.

    Yes. It was the lack of potable water that doomed multiple farming attempts and the general subdivision thing. When we first got our property here in 1997 there were a lot more cabins, some quite large. They tore most of them down 10 or 15 years ago.
