Favourite high resolution images

Hi!

This is my first post on this forum since about 2005. I used to be a moderator in the old Universe Today forums.

My 6 year old boy is getting interested in astronomy, and I was going to get some posters made. The NASA images site is so big it's overwhelming. Where's a good place to find some very high resolution images suitable for making large prints? And maybe for fun, what are some of your favourite images?

The APOD index allows you to browse by predefined categories. That may be helpful but even then your choices are many!

If you are into high resolution images, especially of the Moon, this site, run by two Belorussian amateurs may have something for you.
