What could you deduce from these night skies?
To me, they look often like a view from the edge of a galaxy, or a world in an irregular galaxy.

From the link:
I really don't know what the heck that means, but I guess it is some sort of computer-generated composite, or something like that. These images are generated by a generative adversarial network (GAN) trained over 4500 images scraped from Instagram.
I've seen real images like that, usually taken with very long exposure times. Photographically/artistically these don't do a lot for me; not particularly good compositions (at least for the couple I looked at), IMO.

By the nature of GAN and the training images used, we'd necessarily deduce that it was a view of a galaxy very much like ours, from a vantage point very much like ours.

With the messed-up foreground scenery and the visibly “off” galaxy, they look like views from other planets.
The greatest journey of all time, for all to see
Every mission makes our dreams reality
And our destiny begins with you and me
Through all space and time, the achievement of mankind
As we sail the sea of discovery, on heroes’ wings we fly!
So it is long exposures in the sample photos that make the generated night skies look wonky?

The galaxy is often fat, blobby or cut off at the horizon. Of course, it depends on the individual sky, but I expect the Milky Way to be a thin band.

I mean before the horizon, sorry...they sometimes seem to have a gap at the bottom.
Maybe the few times I actually saw the Milky Way was not quite sark sky...it seemed much narrower then.

The GAN has done a good job of reproducing the sky as it appears in astrophotographs of the Milky Way, I'd say, presumably because there is fairly limited variation between images, beyond issues of orientation and field of view. With a standard lens you have a FoV of about fifty degrees, so these galactic images don't seem anomalous to me--some a little zoomed in, some featuring wider-angle views.
I assume the wider variety of landscapes in the teaching images is the cause of the surreal landscapes producted by the GAN. At the horizon, I'm seeing what seems to be a confused mash-up of distant landscape features and low clouds, so sometimes stars appear in front of what appears to be distant hills, and sometimes the stars disappear behind a feature that fades out of sight elsewhere in the image.
Your view of the Milky Way would certainly depend on how dark your sky was, but also on what part you were looking at. At my home latitude I can never get a proper view towards the galactic centre, but it's pretty glorious as viewed from a dark-sky site in southern Africa or South America, where you can see Sagittarius and Scorpius high in the sky.

The really creepy one is This person does not exist:
https://thispersondoesnotexist.com/
Humans are supposed to be quite sensitive to the slightest defect in a human face, but I cannot tell these from top quality portrait photos.

Yeah. Again, the GAN struggles with the backgrounds, which often don't make sense unless they're very out of focus. Collars and shoulders seem odd, too, sometimes, with the left and right sides mismatched or misproportioned.
I've seen a couple of backgrounds that are quite disturbing, because there has evidently been a person in the background of some of the training photographs, and behind the happy and realistic foreground face, the GAN adds fragments of distorted faces to the background.
ETA: Take a look at the scary broken pod-person at right of frame in this screengrab, for instance: https://i0.wp.com/oikofuge.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/2021-04-11-16_23_25-.jpg
The worst ones are the ones with eyes, though, but I didn't have the patience to flick through until I found one.

Also came across butterflies and beetles, but they seem defunct (one is an add for the domain name being available, and the other is a security message that something hasn't been updated and so it is risky).
