    Jamaica earthquake, 7.7 mag, in Carribean

    CNN reports a powerful quake 125 miles off coast of Jamaica with 1 meter tsunami warning.

    I didn't see anything on the NOAA tsunami page.

    Mika McKinnon, in addition to being the science advisor for Stargate SG-1 (and other shows) is a geoscientist and sci-comm person well worth a follow if you are on Twitter. She does emergency preparedness drills and training throughout North America.
