    Non-english-speaking conspiracy theorists?

Are there popular conspiracy theorists in non-english speaking nations? - popular in the sense of having a wide following on the internet or on talk radio.

Yes, absolutely. I don’t know about talk radio, but on the Internet, for sure.

ETA: As a caveat, I don’t know of other countries, but in Japan, yes.

I think most people, regardless of language or nationality, feel that their leaders are using too much oxygen and emitting too much hot air in their capital cities.

Let's be a little cautious here. No political or nationalistic comments please.

... lets put it this way - their definition of "conspiracy theories" is quite different from mainstream Occident perception.

I suppose different cultures would have different perspectives on what a conspiracy is. I remember a Russian, speaking of the former Soviet Union: "No one was paranoid. Every one knew they were being watched. Only the mentally ill thought everything was fine." I've wondered, if the USSR had won the moon race, would there be as many hoax believers?

Conspiratorial cosmology - the case against the Universe
Jörg P. Rachen, Ute G. Gahlings

Based on the cosmological results of the Planck Mission, we show that all parameters describing our Universe within the \Lambda CDM model can be constructed from a small set of numbers known from conspiracy theory. Our finding is confirmed by recent data from high energy particle physics. This clearly demonstrates that our Universe is a plot initiated by an unknown interest group or lodge. We analyse possible scenarios for this conspiracy, and conclude that the belief in the existence of our Universe is an illusion, as previously assumed by ancient philosophers, 20th century science fiction authors and contemporary film makers.

    That is so cool-ly tinfoil-hattish.

I am disappointed to find there is no other reference to the "Permian Triangle" anywhere else on the internet.

There are quite a few April Fools arXiv papers out there, including a remarkable one on Cthulhu in the south Pacific.

You can’t just say that and not post a link.

Actually, yes, he can. This is becoming a bit much off-topic for this thread. But of course one could find or create a thread specifically for joke papers... just not here or in the CT forum, please.
