New imaging techniques help reduce imaging time, photon losses, resolution, and astrophotonics , the collection of photons from multiple sources, and then combining them is part of the wave of the future, (check the increase in peer citations)....arrayed waveguide gratings (AWG) ...photonic echelle gratings (PEG)..and Fourier Transform Spectrometers..(FTS).They offer better speed, lower cost, reduced weight, and financial savings over historically developed sensors.
