One day a Nazi shows up with Hitler's DNA wanting him to clone Hitler. No problem. Until some ape DNA gets mixed up in the Hitler DNA. Poof, out pops Bigfoot. That could be the prequel.

Finally saw the movie. Not what I expected. I expected an action adventure with Sam Elliot romping through the Pacific Northwest on the trail of Bigfoot. Instead, there were three Hitler's. Elliot kills one. Then mopes around the house for 40 years feeling sorry for himself. Then the FBI shows up and tells him there's this BF up in Canada. It's carrying Corona virus and it can wipe out the human race. We need you to go kill it or the POTUS is gonna nuke Canada. So, reluctantly, he goes and kills BF, fakes his death, goes home and mopes around with his dog Ralph.
The hunt for BF only takes about 10-15 minutes. Not really a bad movie, especially if you like watching Sam Elliot moping around a lot.

Yes, but I hadn’t heard them called that before the present outbreak, I was more used to hearing them called by specific names. I was going to say using that nomenclature in particular instead of just staying “a virus” or giving it a fictional name or acronym derived from a location, species, or discoverer seems creepily prescient.

Oh that movie. I watched it on a streaming site because it sounded novel. It didn’t really keep my interest and I think I read something through part of it as it was playing. Anyway, I only remember some of it. It seemed a bit pointless.
