I'm trying to decide between leftover seafood chowder, leftover fish & chips, leftover squirrel sandwich*, leftover chicken soup.... You get the picture.

    *Not made with real squirrel.

ETA: F&C won. But there was quite a lot, so I only ate half of it, along with some leftover garlic bread that had accompanied the seafood stew and leftover onion rings that accompanied the squirrel.

The choices come down to yellow or brown maybe green. Then comes the big decision, hot or slightly chilled.

Really yummy peanut brittle. Packed with peanuts. Light caramel brittle. Could become very habit forming.

BBQ ribs and pork chops, baked spaghetti, roast and potatoes, and peanut butter cookies. I have a sister who is just too good to me and when I visit it's always like Thanksgiving.

Can I adopt your sister??? Will she adopt me???

My own sister (love her) can hardly be bothered to open a can of tuna fish.

Then again, I'm married and do regularly cook. But being "spoiled" by family is nice.

I love home cooked meals but I can't convince my home to do any cooking. Usually my meals consist of one thing nuked, one thing between bread and one thing wet. Being spoiled by the family is muchas gracias.

A big crunchy oatmeal and cranberry cookie (bought @ farmer's market yesterday). Husband had dibs on it, but he's been gone most of the day and it was just sitting there, BEGGING to be devoured.

It's 6 AM and on my right I have cold spaghetti and on my left I have cold apple pie. Should I make a choice on which one will absorb heat the quickest or choose one by the scientific method of which occupies the least space on a plate?

Nothing wrong with cold apple pie, just as it is.

ETA: Besides, it's natural breakfast food. What's the difference, other than shape, between that and an apple Danish?

Eat the apple pie while you warm the spaghetti in the microwave.

Do you think South Korea is worth going to war over if the all Korean breakfasts include kimchi? No coffee but yes to fermented cabbage? No wonder this is a dangerous part of the world.

I was in Seoul for a week a few years ago, and I never had kimchi for breakfast. I love the stuff but not for breakfast.

But it doesn't seem like a very good reason for going to war...

My wife's leftover grilled salmon and mashed spuds. I'm on low fiber diet for a few days preparatory to a colonoscopy. I normally try to push it so that'll be quite a change.

We've been holding drawing review meetings in our office. They run all day so the company brings in lunch. I had a Reuben sandwich the other day ... corned beef, Swiss, sauerkraut, thousand island dressing ... on a white roll. Actually pretty good.

That's a pretty terrible thing to do to a Reuben, IMO. But not as bad as the one I had at a restaurant that came with coleslaw instead of sauerkraut.

I had my colonoscopy yesterday morning. It was very nice to be able to eat something, which turned out to be French toast and bacon.
