Yeah, we're bored stiff out here with the weather!

    Never fear -- it'll change.

Pretty big winter storm here, probably nothing compared to the rest of the nation and world.

It's America, land of the freeze and home of the haze.

Big country, big variety in weather....it's still short-and-t-shirt weather in Florida, Hawaii, and parts of California. Not so nice in other places (Frostbite Falls, Minnesota, Michigan's U.P., the west's Sierras).

Laurel, MD. Mostly cloudy morning, temps in the 50's. I actually had the windows down and went home at lunch to lose the wool sweater I was wearing. Rained last night and it looks like it might rain again.

16 degrees here, overcast and extremely dreary. Snow would be welcome. It all melted over the weekend and it looks really crappy outside. And I can't use my snowshoes either.

    As Gilbert and Sullivan said
Yes, yes, let's talk about the weather.

    How beautifully blue the sky,
The glass is rising very high,
Continue fine I hope it may,
And yet it rained but yesterday.
    To-morrow it may pour again
(I hear the country wants some rain),
Yet people say, I know not why,
That we shall have a warm July.

Yet people say, I know not why,
That we shall have a warm July.

I have been off for the last few days. The news did not favor the airport to well.

I will have to check the forecast for this weekend. Hey, would it really be that bad getting stuck in Chicago?

Ordinarily maybe not, but I'm meeting my folks for dinner in San Diego that night and then they're leaving the next day on a trip, so it's kind of a "catch 'em while you can" situation... and then of course, my meeting starts on Sunday morning...

I got stuck in my drive-way backing out. Good thing, I have 4-wheel drive. I kicked that puppy into gear. Sweet!

Well, we're gettin' it today! 6 inches since dawn and probably more before it moves offshore tonight. Had to go to the dentist today -- kicked OUR car into 4wd and took off... still, the roads are slick and crappy.

    stay warm!

ORD is up and running! \/

Up through last night, 37 hours of snowfall, 9.6-7 inches of snow reported for the airport.

Those poor passengers that got in late last night slept on cots at the airport.

Probably, if not cancelled flights. United mainline flights will land, though. We are determined to be Number One in this area. United Express flights are not so fortunate. I think I deleted your PM, can you send me your itinerary again? I got bombarded with PM's as to why I stopped posting on FWIS. :-?
