Can they make that bigger? I'm having a hard time seeing it.
    Not exactly a robust website.

This website was brought to you by the letters O and S and the number 6

Scroll down and it also gives the names of the astronauts and the number of days they have been space. Can anyone confirm the names and figures?

That's perfect - it's simple and to the point.

There's an app coming for that...

The owner's other website is simply a series of pictures and mailto link.

<CT> It also needs "as far as we know..." in brackets after the number </CT>

Well, Earth is in space, so we all are.

I think it is suspicious that three of them have been in space 148 days. Almost as if they arrived together. Coincidence? I think not. And before you try to dismiss this, the other three have all been there 106 days. If that's not a conspiracy I don't know what is.

It still shows Koichi Wakata as Flight Engineer. It should read Flight Commander

He became the first Japanese commander of the International Space Station, which occurred during Expedition 39. Wakata is currently assigned to the Soyuz TMA-11M/Expedition 38/Expedition 39 long duration spaceflight scheduled for 2013-2014, which is currently in progress.

Koichi Wakata is still shown as Flight Engineer but the number of humans in space is now shown as 6.

It has been sometime since we had 9 astronauts in space at one time. Click on the link given at the start of this thread to see who they are and how long they have been out there.

Thought I will bring this thread to the forefront again so those interested can keep track of the number of astronauts in space. I just tried it but it still did not include the astronauts from the latest Russian launch.

I found this app 6 years ago but it did not take off as there was only the International Space Station. By mid this year we will have the Chinese joining the party. So a good time to revive it. It keeps track of the number of humans in space and the number of days they have been there.

I think a very interesting and useful application. Only the information requires constant updating. Is someone ready to do it - probably someone will be found. It's just that in the modern world, the main thing rests on money: how much you spent, how much you earned. And there is much less interest in the human resource.

This just gives you a snap shot of the position when you ask. It does not store any data.

And the answer to the question posed in the thread?

Really great service. Maybe they could also add some bio about each of the astronauts and images. That would be amazing.

Scroll down to the astronaut/cosmonaut names. They are links to the person's Wikipedia page.
