    Windows Live Mail bug

My Windows Live Mail running under Windows 7 is failing to function within a few minutes after booting the computer. When I try to use it I get a message "Your POP3 server has not responded in 60 seconds...", and when I try to send a message it just sits in the outbox instead of showing in the Sent Items folder. If I reboot and start the e-mail immediately it downloads incoming messages from the server just fine and finishes sending from the outbox, but it goes down again in a few minutes. Any suggestions?

The problem appears to have cleared up on its own. I did get an OS update from Microsoft which installed automatically the last time I shut the system down. That might have fixed it.

My Live Webmail (the good old hotmail in new clothes) fails to add any attachments. I can't google a solution.
