    Paper models

I got a paper model for Christmas from my niece.

Now that I finally finished it, I have to give Gemini a lot of credit for his models.

I would be interested in hearing anyone else's experience with paper models.

It's tough work. It's very interesting to find new ways to clamp together oddly shaped pieces of paper while the glue dries. Hard to keep the pieces in their proper shape, and especially difficult to work with mounting(fishing) the lights and sound module.
And; you can't just sit down and work with it. It takes time. A few minutes here and there, with time in between for glue to dry.

This one was a kit that was apparently only sold at Barnes&Noble since August and doesn't seem to be available anymore.

Nice work sir, especially for your first.

This is a very helpful forum for further resources.

Also, I highly recommend loctite branson super glue, in addition to white glue.

Have fun, it's a great hobby! (I've been at it for over 10 years)

    Ouch, I just saw a Gemini-beater...

Don't bother to watch the video, it's only showing the painting of the fuselage. And; you don't even see colors, it's clear shiny vs non-shiny so you don't see anything until the end, and it's only small sections with a flashlight. It doesn't show anything much better than Gemini would do.

But; follow the link to the flickr page.
    Seats, cabinets, food carts... wow.

When I was a kid my passion was airplanes. By the time I was in high school I decided that the Cessna 180 or 185 on floats was the best plane for me. When I was about 16 years old I made a paper model of one, no where approaching the quality in Gemini or NEOWatcher's products, but my defense is that it was not from a kit. Ten years later I owned the real thing. So, what is in Gemini's and NEOWatcher's futures?

That's a really good defense. I wouldn't even know where to begin for even a simple rocket.

Well; If I did it over 30 years ago, it might mean something.
I even took aviation in high school and it never took off.
I interviewed with NASA but it didn't launch a career.
