    I've always wondered something about photons...

    I've always wondered how it is we can see black text on a white page.

    You see, I've always assumed that black ink absorbs all color, while white paper reflects all colors.

    How's that for my first n00bish post?

    Post has but no . Oddly I can see the text written by Joe The Dude normally but not yours. #-o #-o

    Edit: I'll add a couple of spaces so the above makes sense 'cos I can see "but no" in white against a gray background.

    Your brain notices the relative absence of photons, imaged onto your retina.

    It's not true black. For that you have to see "Disaster areas" stunt ship.
