    Star Database (open source)?

Does anyone know where I can get a database of star information? Name, R.A., and Dec. are pretty much all I need. I just need the info that I can load into the database, really. I just need a few hundred/thousand to start, may need more later though.

    Thanks....

Does this site have what you're looking for?
Everything I need to know I learned through Googling.

    What about VizieR? http://vizier.u-strasbg.fr/viz-bin/VizieR

You can find pretty much any published star database (or other astronomy object database) there. It's what we use in my astronomy classes.
