Today is the 10th anniversary of the opening of Guantanamo Bay Detention Center.

To date, the camp has produced more military resignations than criminal convictions.

I'm SERIOUSLY craving a corned beef sandwich, preferably on white bread, with butter.

But I cannot have corned beef (unpleasant side effects).

BAUT now appears to be as difficult to use for everyone else, as it has been for me for a long time.

I wish I could write to all the moderators and say: I am an imperfect creature. You can always find fault with me. When I have to be looking over my shoulder all the time, being careful not to post politicially, religiously and now racially (which the friend I joked with about purging my blood thought was not racial) and God only knows what infraction next time ... then it's just no fun posting here anymore. So if just one of the moderators wanted to run me off, Ok, you win.

    Now I'm out of here.

God loves all of you, lurkers, too,
    Don "Salty" Snow

To find a number without zeros early in its square root, I have the program calculate the square roots of millions of integers and search each one for the first zero, keeping track of the best one so far. A few hours later I come back and see if anything interesting was found. I use a version of BASIC with 2600 digit precision.

I did not know there were BASIC interpreters out there that could do 2600 digit precision arithmetic easily.
