I'm posting this here instead of in CT because I think this thread has a greater readership, but also because the post will likely stay up longer here before it and I are both deleted from the board. The REAL reasons why two prominent BAUT moderators have recently stepped down haven't been revealed and those reasons may shock you, gentle readers. You see, pzkpfw DID in fact have a sockpuppet here on BAUT. The name of the sock was...aastrotech! And Moose stepped down because he is presently on trial for biting some dude's sister! You heard it here first. TH1S is what the BAUT moderators and admins DON'T want YOU to know!!1!

The new logo for CosmoQuest forum will feature Angelina Jolie and a ferret cheerfully knitting racket cozies for the Nervous Tennis match, which is held, as everyone knows, on Hayling Island.

Oh, we can only dream <sigh>.......

One of the citizen science projects is searching for new ferrets for Angelina to adopt.

Independence day was nearly called Undependence day but the UN favoured disdependence day or exdependence weekend so a Baut Poll was organisied and the rest is history.

The title of the Canadian national anthem, "Oak, Canada", confuses people about which tree leaf is depicted on its flag.

Our national animal(the beaver) can also cause some embarassing misunderstandings.

If I had such an animal as a pet, I'd name it Justin Beaver.

In order to prevent backup problems when the forum merger occurs, the new forum will be partitioned into two, roughly equal components: one will contain all the posts (past, present and future) by Swift, ToSeek and Gillianren while everything else will go into the other. We'll miss you guys!

I have a question: Will the merger of two separate astronomical forums cause eddies in the space-time continuum?

While the Swift/ToSeek/Gillianren forum contains about one trillion (10E12) posts and the BAUTLite forum contains about three hundred billion (3x10E11) posts; the chance of even two posts colliding is negligible because of the huge distances between each pair of posts. Of more concern, is whether the Untrue Facts and Leave a Random Fact threads ever come into contact. If they do, it is likely that the entire Internet would be annihilated.
