I think somebody has been watching been watching too much Star Gate Universe, in that story line there was suppose to be some hidden message in CMB. But that was science fiction.

Perhaps, but this was posted in the Off-Topic Babbling section, there were serious questions and comments made and it appears the OP hasn’t been back since that post. Hopefully, they will have something more to say eventually. My guess is that this might be more appropriate for ATM.

That's my take on it. If you post in OTB, you should expect side comments and jokes. I'd move it to someplace more serious if I knew what the OP was talking about, but it is unclear if they are serious or not, and whether this is ATM or not. At 46 posts they are not a newbie, and should have at least a concept of how this place works.

Hello, alromario. We are part of the Universe, so we can say the Universe contains consciousness, but science has yet to determine for sure how consciousness arises or why we have "existing minds".

We have plenty of threads speculating on the nature of consciousness, some of them quite lengthy. (fair warning, some of the threads get very repetitive and at times, argumentative at a less than conducive level)

You might do a Forum search on the keyword "consciousness".

I suspect from my own experiences as a "neuro-diverse" autistic who's been in the mental health system most of my life, that we are narrowly provincial in the conception of mind, let alone other possible brain structures.

You use the hot word “real” which colours your question about “life” . The matter universe has its structure with quantum weirdness, probability and so on. Life has function or behaviour, eggs, eating, reproduction, death. Plus memory as DNA. Now you can choose to believe in consciousness in your model of “reality” and make it a third estate, or part of matter or part of life. That is up to you and no test can be devised to be scientific about it. Just plonk it in the “untestable belief” set and move on, I suggest, to what you can test.

Prior to the present in the existing spacetime continuum since the Big Bang, which was the beginning of time as we know it?

Or do you mean a "prior" Universe or meta-existence, which is purely a philosophical belief and inherently untestable?
