He was the consummate host, able to make his guests feel at home. He was taping episodes through Oct 29; his last one will air on Christmas Day.
I'm very sorry to hear that. I was hoping he'd get better.
With stage 4 pancreatic cancer, and current medical techniques, it’s pretty much a question of how long it can be kept at bay, a complete remission is extremely unlikely. He lasted quite some time, considering. The only thing that surprises me a little is that it came so soon after he had been working on set.Quote:
