    I posted the modified program at the original post-- please note that it does compile and the only changes that you would need to make are corrections to the "equations" --so that they give the logical answers. I used your original program and modified it to the point where it should make more sense.

    Please do not hesitate to ask me questions if yoiu don't completely understand what I did?

    By the way---the functions, in this case, belong after the "main" program. The way you wrote it could still work but it would have taken me a little longer.

    Please note that it's full of mistakes. I've actually rewritten the whole code with several edits. I can now run the program and all, but it calculates wrong. That is to say, the program is useless. It gives false results. And I seriously can't figure out how to solve the problem. It seems perfectly right, but it just refuses to calculate correctly.
